What is it?
Botox® is a purified protein administered in a nonsurgical procedure. It has been used therapeutically for over 17 years to treat a variety of medical conditions and is approved in more than 75 countries. The same formula with appropriate dosing to glabeller lines (frown/forehead lines) was FDA approved in 2002 as Botox Cosmetic®.

How soon will I see a difference and how long will it last?
You can expect to see visibly noticeable results within days after your treatment. The appearance of the area between your brows may continue to improve for up to a week. By day 30 you should see maximum results with visible results lasting up to 4 months. After that, many patients are ready to return for a follow-up treatment.

How long does the Botox® Cosmetic procedure take?
The entire procedure (or injection) takes 10-15 minutes and there is no downtime afterward. The initial consultation takes approximately 30-40 minutes to discuss your customized skin treatment plan.

Will I be charged for the initial consultation visit?
You will receive a FREE 30 minute initial assessment at no charge. A Registered Nurse will discuss a customized treatment plan with you based on your skin concerns.

Can I have the Botox Cosmetic® treatment on the same day as my FREE consultation?
Yes, we can schedule the first Botox Cosmetic® treatment immediately following your initial consultation. Just inform the scheduler of this when you schedule your initial office consultation.

Is the procedure painful?
No anesthesia is required and most patients experience only minimal and brief discomfort.
How it works
  • Movement of brow muscles causes the skin to crease. As skin becomes less elastic over time, repeated frowning creates lines and wrinkles.
  • Botox ® is injected directly into the muscles responsible for frown lines between the brows. Botox ® blocks the release of the chemical that causes our brow muscles to contract, allowing your frown muscles to relax.
  • The effects are localized and when administered by an experienced physician or registered nurse, do not affect your ability to smile, laugh or otherwise show expression.
  • Botox ® is the only product of its kind that has been approved for use in this area.
