What is it?
Our Laser is FDA approved for all skin tones and is safe and effective at eliminating unwanted hair. Its laser technology penetrates deep into the hair follicle to provide permanent hair reduction. It can also treat pseudofolliculitis barbae (PFB) known as beard bumps.

Hair Growth Knowledge
Hair grows in cycles and the hair follicle can only be eliminated when the hair cycle is in the anagen phase. Everyone’s hair grows differently, depending on age, weight, metabolism, hormones, ethnicity, medications and other factors.

How it works
The laser targets the pigment in the hair follicle. Heat from the laser is absorbed and destroys the cells lining the hair follicle specifically around the bulb. For best results, multiple treatments will be needed. For most areas, 5-6 treatments are necessary to achieve hair reduction. The number of treatments depends on hair type (coarse or fine hair), previous methods of hair removal (previous treatments), and skin color. Approximately 20% hair reduction of hair growth is noted in 4-8 weeks following each treatment.
Does Laser Hair Removal hurt?
Patients lay down comfortably during treatment. Our Laser features an initial cooling spray before the pulse to help prevent discomfort. Immediately after treatment patients may notice some redness or swelling, which may last up to 2 hours or longer. There may also be some itching, which can be alleviated with topical hydrocortisone, Benadryl or even and oral antihistamine.

What should I do before my laser hair removal appointment?
Avoid tweezing, plucking, electrolysis or hair waxing for 4-6 weeks prior to treatment. Any hair should be removed by shaving 12-24 hours prior to treatment and your skin should be thoroughly cleaned and dried, removing any makeup, creams, oils, topical anesthetics or skin tanning products before laser treatment. Do not expose the intended treatment area to sunlight or tanning booth light for 14 days prior to your appointment.
