Experience matters. Vein disease can be complex and each patient is uniquely different. All of our physicians are board-certified Radiologists experienced in the treatment of vein disease, with advanced training in minimally invasive vascular techniques.
Emil Hurst, MD

Dr. Hurst is a cofounder of the Milwaukee Vein and Laser Center and has extensive experience in laser and ultrasound guided sclerotherapy for the treatment of leg vein disorders. He is also Board Certified in Radiology and Emergency Medicine, with advanced training in minimally-invasive vascular techniques. Dr. Hurst is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School and completed a post-graduate interventional radiology fellowship at Harvard's Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA.
Shirish Patel, MD

Dr. Patel is a cofounder of the Milwaukee Vein and Laser Center and is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of leg vein disease, including cutting-edge laser therapy and image-guided sclerotherapy. He is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and has advanced training in minimally-invasive vascular techniques. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School and completed an interventional radiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD.
David Olson, MD

Dr. Olson has received advanced training in the treatment of vein disease including endovenous laser, foam sclerotherapy and microsurgical techniques. He is Board Certified in Radiology and is a graduate of the Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, MO. He completed his residency and fellowship at Tufts University in Boston, MA. Before coming to the Milwaukee Vein and Laser Center, Dr. Olson spent several years on staff at the Medical College of Wisconsin and was the Radiology Residency Program Director at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Ed French, MD

Dr. French has extensive advanced training in minimally invasive
vascular intervention.  Procedural expertise includes endovenous
laser therapy (EVLT), ultrasound guided sclerotherapy, and
ambulatory phlebectomy.  He offers comprehensive vein treatment
for cosmetic indications and medical conditions.  Dr. French
completed medical school in
Des Moines, Iowa, and Diagnostic
Radiology residency at St. Luke's
Medical Center in Milwaukee.  
He completed a clinical fellowship in Vascular Interventional Radiology at
Massachusetts General Hospital through Harvard Medical School. Dr. French is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology.

James Walker, MD

Dr. Walker has expertise in performing a wide range of image-guided minimally invasive procedures.  He is Board Certified in Radiology, and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Interventional Radiology.  He has advanced training in venous treatments, including endovenous laser treatment, ambulatory microphlebectomy, and sclerotherapy.  Dr. Walker is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School, and completed his Radiology Residency and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at Northwestern University.
